Week 1
Let's say that you can invite one person, living or dead, to dine with you. Who would you choose? Why? What would you talk about? Please share with us in the comments below. Extra input Craig Morgan's song links nicely with our topic. Listen for inspiration, relax or vocabulary input :)

I don't have any specific person in mind but I would like to invite a Buddhist monk. I think it would be good to talk to him about their life and beliefs. I would ask him why there are so many fat monks- I find it very strange.

I don't know much about Buddhism. But I've seen a documentary about Buddhist monks from Thailand and they're all very obese. For me it was a shock because I thought they're all very slim.

Miho, don't you think it may be the food they eat? Thai food could be addictive :) Thanks for your comment!

I'd like to have dinner with William Shakespeare. Would he understand my English? Would I understand him? Maybe he will teach me some great words. I think it could be nice experience and a good point in my CV.

When I read this I thought about some viral movie, where parents and their children were asked this same question. Parents had great dreams about famous people: Elvis Presley, Dalai Lama, Marylin Monroe... Then they asked children and every, single child told that they wanted to meet their family. Touching. I think I'd like to have a dinner with my best friend from primary school. She was my bridesmaid and now she lives far away. We always meet in hurry, so it would be wonderful to have a dinner and spent time together.

Who would it be? First person who came to my mind was God. Obviously, He could answer all the potential questions that I would have. But, if my choice were to concentrate on people as such I would opt for somebody like Leonardo da Vinci. His areas of interest were so vast that he would definitely could enchant me with various stories of his inventions. It would be a thrill to listen.

Great choice with da Vinci, even better with God.

I would like to have a dinner with my best friend from secondary school. She has a nice restaurant in Chorzów now but she has never invited me for a dinner. So maybe it is good idea to invite her for a good dinner and look back on the time when we were younger and really spent a lot of time together.
