This is the last week of our 6-week-program "Let's talk".
And today I'm gonna ask you a really easy or a really difficult question - namely
What's your favourite song in English?
Why?

I've thought long and hard which song I'd choose to be my number one. And I must say the choice is not the easiest as I generally enjoy listening to music.
But there's one song that I always like coming back to. The lyrics come from a poem  Those Dancing Days Are Gone by William Butler Yeats.
I absolutely love the poem, as I guess "I carry the sun in a golden cup and the moon in a silver bag" and my dancing days are definitely gone. The song is sung by Carla Bruni.  You can listen to it HERE.

Please share your choices in the comments below.

So many I like but the first that I thought about was Stand by me by Tracy Chapman. It makes me stronger and helps me believe in people and friendship.

Metallica's Whiskey in the Jar. As it never hurts to have some whisky in the jar ;)
Seriously, for me it's a piece of great music.

Oh no! Only one?! There are so many amazing songs in English... However I thought about "Slave to love", but Roisin's Murphy cover.

The Murphy's cover is a bit of surprise when you know the original. Thanks for sharing!

I love the song but not by Beyonce. Sorry. I don't know if you've heard Ane Brun's version. Wow.
Thanks for your comment.

One of the best songs that I can listen all the time is the Drowning Man of U2. I love it for the strong guitar sound and lyrics full of symbols. This is a U2 song which is not very popular, besides it has never been performed live. I can’t figure why?
