Welcome to our December Challenge - 20 idioms in 20 days.
Learning idiomatic expressions could be daunting. First of all, the meaning is not usually straight-forward, including them in a sentence seems to be a huge undertaking and on top of that the idiom books for learners often contain phrases that are no longer in use and sound outdated.
And this is where I step in to offer some help and guidance.
In December, I am running a Whatsapp challenge.
What's it all about?
Every day for 20 days I will be sending you an idiom with an explanation (or/and an example)
What do you need to do?
That depends.
You can do nothing. But that sounds like one lousy challenge.
You can do something. You can get familiar with the expressions sent and pick and choose the ones you would like to actively use in your speaking.
How to take part?
